Intown Guitar Repair LLC is a full service guitar repair shop. We do not sell guitars or other musical instruments. Our primary purpose is to get your instrument playing as well as possible. We work on most anything with frets but we do not work on the violin family. (For violin repair try Atlanta Violins.) Our work includes set ups, fret levels and re-frets, broken headstocks, electronics work, bone nuts and saddles, neck sets, finish touch ups, body routing, and more. We employ the most knowledgeable luthiers around to provide you with the best service.

Jeff Rice — Owner & Luthier

Intown Guitar Repair LLC is owned and operated by luthier Jeff Rice. Jeff started his guitar repair journey as an apprentice in 2001. After working for a year with Mike Marshall in Lawrenceville, GA Jeff opened his own shop, Intown Guitar Repair, in Austin, TX. A few years later he relocated to Greenville, South Carolina — setting up shop in the beautiful downtown area and quickly becoming the “go-to guy” among area musicians.

After five successful years in Greenville Intown Guitar Repair returned to Atlanta in 2010. Jeff’s reputation as a skilled luthier earned him the business and respect of Atlanta’s guitar community. His client list has grown to include local guitar heroes, beginners, weekend warriors and touring stars. Everybody gets the same VIP treatment — honest, affordable workmanship.
